Nice Wahoo!

We were contacted by our customer Steve Sprague this week and he had a fish story to tell. On January 7th, 2009 he was trolling our pink/black "wahoo-bite" off the coast of Palm Beach, FL. His speed was 14 knots, and the fish weighed 50+ pounds. His email to us concluded by saying: "Nice way to start the new year!". You got that right Steve! Thanks for sharing!

Old Wahoo Footage

This video is an oldie, but goodie!! One of the many good times on Mike's old 19 Mako "Kingfisher II". That Mako may have been small, but she sure did take care of us. This particular trip we had heard of reports of wahoo being caught south of Port Everglades all week. So Mike puts together a crew of three, Mike, Manny, and Pete. We decide that the earlier the better so we hit the inlet at just after dawn. The plan was to troll some BigBite Offshore "Wahoo-Bites" wahoo lures over the reefs in a zig-zag motion between 90-250. It didn't take very long before the line started peeling off and we knew what we had in store. WAHOO, AKA ONO for anglers out west. This video is the final 2:30 of the fight.
